Well.

Here's the deal. Now that I've got this equipment, I want to start posting free downloads and stuff all the time, and set up some kind of system, such as a freestyle mp3 every other week to keep it interesting.

I'm gonna kick this idea off with a recording from January of a song that I think is one of the best I've written. I've been performing it since the summer, and it totally brings me back to that time. It's called Sandlot Blues Revisited, a re-take on the original Sandlot Blues.

Haha. It was a blast.

I should probably blog more often, I always have a little too much that I want to say. I'll work on that.

I've made some moves this past week, or however long it's been:
-recorded two brand new songs (Old Armor, The Book Report) with Devin Arne who was in town for a week
-finished my verse and made serious progress on the song with Mac Lethal. Laid down a rough recording of my verse yesterday.
-Bought some of my own recording equipment, gonna start messing around with Ableton and trying some things.

I also met some cool people, who may or may not be able to help me out. Facebook, although I really hate to catch myself saying this, can be a beautiful thing.

What up what up what up.

Figured I'd keep this whole blog thing going and hit you all with some good news..
We made it to the FINALS for the Break Contest--to play Bamboozle this May, with Weezer, Drake, Kei$a (eh), MGMT, Kevin Devine, and so so many more saweet bands--at The Chance in Poughkeepsie.
Much thanks to all the loyal and lovely people who came out to support and helped us rock it.

We rocked the stage with Evazan, Avenue, Junket, Paper Planets, and a bunch of other sick doods. I handed out mad EPs, got some good feedback on two new songs (The Book Report, Garden of the Gods), slipped on water Flynn spilled on stage, and listened as 'Nate C' freestyled for me.
Def overall a fun, interesting day..

I'll have some tricks up my sleeve for round 3. And everyone better be there : )

Besides the show, I hit up the studio today and I'll be in over spring break to lay down a bunch of the tracks off the upcoming EP.
Stoked.
